• Booking Information: Details about your lighting control sessions, including venues visited, effects selected, and session durations.
• Communications: Information you provide when you contact us for support or feedback.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Service, we automatically collect certain information, including:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
• Location Information: With your consent, we collect precise location information to show you nearby venues. You can disable location services in your device settings.
• Usage Information: Pages viewed, features used, session duration, and interaction patterns within the app.
• Log Information: IP address, browser type, access times, and referring URLs.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third parties, including:

• Authentication providers (Apple, Google) if you choose to sign in using those services;
• Payment processors regarding transaction status;
• Venues regarding your bookings at their locations.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
• Process transactions and send related information, including booking confirmations and receipts;
• Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages;
• Respond to your comments, questions, and requests;
• Communicate with you about products, services, offers, and events offered by Light Res;
• Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with the Service;
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities;

• Calculate your reward tier based on total minutes of lighting control.

3.1 With Venues

When you book a Session, we share necessary information with the Venue, including your name and booking details, to facilitate your Session.

3.2 With Service Providers

We share information with third-party vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf, including payment processing (Stripe), authentication (Clerk), database hosting (Convex), and analytics.

3.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency), or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

3.4 Business Transfers

If Light Res is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

3.5 With Your Consent

We may share your information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Booking history and usage data for reward tier calculations are retained for the lifetime of your account. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except as required by law.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including:

• AES-256 encryption for stored credentials;
• SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit;
• Secure authentication through Clerk;
• PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe;
• Regular security assessments and monitoring.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Account Information

You may update, correct, or delete your account information at any time by accessing your account settings in the app. If you wish to delete your account, you may do so through the app or by contacting us.

6.2 Location Information

You can control location permissions through your device settings. Disabling location services may limit certain features of the Service.

6.3 Push Notifications

You can opt out of push notifications through your device settings or the app's notification preferences.

6.4 Marketing Communications

You may opt out of receiving marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails or adjusting your preferences in the app. Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you transactional messages related to your bookings.

7. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your LightRes account and associated data at any time. To request account deletion:

• Email support@lightrez.com with "Delete My Account" in the subject line
• Include the email address associated with your account

Upon receiving your deletion request, we will:

• Delete your account within 30 days
• Remove all personal information including name, email, and booking history
• Anonymize any transaction records required for legal or financial compliance

After deletion, your account cannot be recovered.

8. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
• The right to request deletion of your personal information;
• The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information);
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Light Res. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access.
